Miral is the mother of B'Elanna Torres, the half-Klingon (and all-awesome) chief engineer aboard the U.S.S. Voyager. She is mentioned briefly in a handful of episodes by B'Elanna, but appears only in one: "Barge of the Dead," an episode late in the series in which she is, well, dead. I would have liked to have seen and heard more of her. I definitely intend to write more of her.
