I suck. I got strep throat and missed my deadlines for the Mother's Day fest (as well as my own
matrithon fest, and how bad do you need to suck to miss your *own* ficathon's deadlines?) But they're still relevant to community interests, so I'm posting them now. Here's the first.
Title: What The Gods Call Miracles
Author:
alara_rCharacters: Q (Amanda Rogers' mother), Q (Amanda Rogers' father)
Fandom: TNG
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: None
Word Count: 4284
Summary: How Q made the decision to let the human embryo she'd accidentally conceived while in human form turn from her amusing science project to her baby.
Notes: From the
where_no_woman Mother's Day Fest prompt: "#93. Non-human motherhood." Well, we all know which non-humans I'm most obsessed with, and it struck me that this was a great opportunity to explore a female Trek character who, to the best of my knowledge, has *never* appeared in any fic except by me, and who made a decision that was by the standards of her species utterly incomprehensible. If the Q never have children, why *did* Q decide to keep the child she'd conceived in human form?
