So a while back, I asked if anyone would be interested in a community for fic (and other creative works) based on the Star Trek novels (and other licensed but "non-canon" works as well, such as comics, video games, etc.) I've created the community now: trek_bookverse.

Come on over and bring your fic! There've been a *lot* of great female characters in the books over the years, and further development of existing female characters (for instance, Ezri Dax making captain happened in the DS9 Relaunch.)
